INSTALLATION:
Procedure can be performed by anyone but requires a bit of skill and patience.
After removing the original handle (videos of the procedure are available on YouTube), you need to zip-tie the new handle. The strap should be tied at the bottom to the ball of the metal cord with the provided zip tie (see photo in gallery).
Subsequently, the pulling cords in the backrest need to be zip-tied to make them taut with less travel (see photo), otherwise, too long a travel would cause the strap to come out of its seat and require excessive force to unlock the mechanism (in addition to being blocked before tension by the internal plastic stop).
The velcro strip provided should be placed around the metal part (sheet of the frame) to prevent it from rubbing against the strap and cutting the stitching (see last photo with yellow indicator mark); alternatively, you can leave the travel longer by loosening the cords, so that the strap touches the metal part as little as possible.
The cover, which serves only as a support and closure, is screwed in like the original (important to screw in straight and not too tightly or you risk breaking the plastic).
Before tightening and closing everything, test the operation and sliding by checking that you have placed the zip ties in the right spots so that the strap does not rub against the frame and cut the stitching. It is important to check the tension and rubbing; if not installed correctly, there is a risk of tearing the strap or cutting with the metal part. If this happens, it is still possible to re-stitch the strap "infinite" times.
