PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Replica handles for original Abarth 500 seat for replacement or repair, produced with 3D printing technique.
Sold in pairs dx+sx or individually in the specific selection.
For any stock 500 Abarth seat, both in leather and in fabric (any year, no sabelt or punto).
Available in two variants carbon-like and leather-like with ribbon red or black or yellow.
Available on request also just the strap or in the specific announcement (the strap has now been reinforced with new stitching points and glue).
INSTALLATION:
After removing the original handle (videos of the procedure are available on YouTube), the new handle must be strapped. The strap should be tied at the bottom to the ball of the metal rope with the supplied strap (see photo in the gallery).
Subsequently, the tensioning ropes in the backrest should be strapped to make them tension with less travel (see photo); otherwise, too long an excursion would cause the strap to come out of its seat and an excessive force requirement to unlock the mechanism (in addition to the blocking before tension by the internal plastic stop).
The strip of velcro provided should be placed around the metal part (sheet of the frame) to prevent it from rubbing against the ribbon and cutting the seam (see the last photo with the yellow indicator mark); alternatively, it is possible to leave the excursion longer by loosening the ropes, so that the strap touches the metal part as little as possible.
The cover, which serves only as a support and closure, is screwed on like the original (it is important to screw with the screw straight and without tightening too much or there is a risk of breaking the plastic).
Before tightening and closing everything, test the operation and sliding by checking that you have placed the straps in the right spots so that the strap does not rub against the frame and cut the seam. It is important to check the tension and rubbing; if not installed correctly, there is a risk of tearing the strap or cutting with the metal part. In case it happens, it is still possible to sew the ribbon back even "infinite" times.
